Your Rubik's cube should have the top two layers solved. The bottom layer should have a cross formed in the middle, and every corner of the bottom layer is at its correct place.
If not, go back to the previous step.
Goal
Our goal is to make sure every side of every corner of the bottom layer has the correct color. In other words, every corner of the bottom layer should be oriented correctly like the following:

If all corner cubies are oriented correctly, meaning the colors are on the right side, then you can skip this step. Otherwise you need to know the following two algorithms.
One algorithm orients three corner cubies counter-clockwise. The other algorithm orients three corner cubies clockwise.

There are actually 8 possible configurations, and each can be solved by using only these two algorithms, with two tries at most. This means that after you perform either algorithm once, you should end up with a state where 3 corner cubies need to be oriented clockwise or counter-clockwise. With some thinking you should be able to figure out what needs to be done in each configuration.
After you are done the Rubik's cube should look like this.
