Fix Blogger's CertificatesService.Insert APP_ERROR when Turning on HTTPS!

Amazon If you want to use HTTPS for your Google Blogger's blog hosted on a custom domain, you may encounter the following error message while switching on HTTPS in Blogger Settings -> Basic:

CertificatesService.Insert APP_ERROR

How do you fix Blogger's CertificatesService.Insert APP_ERROR error? How do you turn on HTTPS for your Blogger blog by fixing the CertificatesService.Insert APP_ERROR error?

Solution

First, in Settings -> Basic, click on the Edit link for your custom Blog Address. Suppose the custom domain is www.chtoen.com. Check the checkbox that says "Redirect chtoen.com to www.chtoen.com." and click on Save.

When you do, you may see the following error message:

You have not been authorised to use this domain. Please follow the settings instructions.

Or in Chinese:

您尚未獲得授權，無法使用這個網域。請按照設定操作說明進行。

If you do, go back to Settings -> Basic and click on the cross icon next to the Blog Address to delete this custom domain. Then add it back, and the error message will be gone.

The above solution has personally worked for me to fix this problem.

Next, select Yes for HTTPS Availability.

Next, select Yes for HTTPS Redirect.
